Well the one that got me is the flatworms in space. What a story. What does it mean? And who thought to take flatworms into space, and why flatworms in particular?
(I shared it to FaceBook and mentioned I had seen it here.)
I heard a bit of the radio story on the CBC. Apparently these worms have the capacity to grow back missing pieces. You pretty much have to crush them completely to stop them from growing back. This one was special because it grew back an extra head. I’m not sure what it all means, but I’ve heard it said that two heads are better than one!
We might have to revise the desirability of two heads better than one when astronauts come back that way ?
