Your lovely photo took me back to a funny incident ? from the late ’70s:
My husband had gone for groceries on a Saturday in Spring, and took our dog along for the ride. (Barry drove a company car, with a mobile phone. If a call came in, while he was away from the car, the horn would honk to alert him of the call.) On this particular afternoon, I remembered a item I’d forgotten to add to the grocery list, and so I called Barry — albeit a bit too late. He was leaving the grocery store, heading for the car, when the horn began to honk. He later told me that he ran with the grocery cart across the big parking lot, so that he might reach the car in time to answer the phone call. When he got to the car, a little old lady was standing nearby, watching the dog (who was sitting in the driver’s seat). As the horn continued to honk, she asked Barry, “How did you teach him to do that?!”
